The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India, has revised the Passport application fee structure through the Passports (Amendment) Rules, 2026. The revised Passport fees will come into effect from 01 July 2026 across India.
If you are planning to apply for a New Passport, Passport Renewal, Tatkal Passport, or Replacement of Lost/Damaged Passport, you should know the latest fee structure before submitting your application.

Passport Fee Revised From 01 July 2026
The Government of India has increased Passport application charges for various services. The revised fee structure will be applicable from 01 July 2026.

Good news for applicants!
The Government has continued a 10% fee concession for:
✅ Children up to 8 years of age (Fresh Passport only)
✅ Senior Citizens above 60 years (Fresh Passport only)
Note: This concession is available only on fresh passport applications and not on passport re-issue applications.

Visit the Passport Seva Portal.

Register a new account or login.
Step 3
Fill the online Passport Application Form.
Step 4
Upload required information.
Step 5
Pay the application fee online.
Step 6
Book an appointment at the nearest Passport Seva Kendra (PSK).
Step 7
Visit the PSK with original documents.
Step 8
Complete biometric and document verification.
Step 9
Police Verification (if applicable).
Step 10
Passport will be dispatched to your registered address.
